Mat Buyback Program

In many instances, when a project wraps up, there’s no immediate follow-up project where mats can be redeployed. Instead of leaving your used mats to endure the elements or transporting them great distances, why not consider our mat buy back program? Our program offers a buyback price from the outset, applicable to all types of mats, based on their condition at the time of resale.

While there’s no obligation to sell your mats back to us, having the option provides a valuable safety net. Opting to sell them back? We’ll dispatch trucks to collect them and issue you a check for the pre-agreed price. It’s straightforward and hassle-free.

Why Choose Our Buyback Program?

Choose to engage with our mats buy back service, and we’ll come to your site to purchase your construction mats at a predetermined, guaranteed rate – effectively putting money back in your pocket. Our trained staff will grade and process the mats at a time that suits you. If the mats are in good condition and viable for reuse on another job site, we’ll swiftly compensate you, effectively lowering your project’s overall costs.

Blizzard Mats proudly offers this unique service to many of our customers. Whether you’re dealing with surplus mats in your inventory or mats at the end of their life cycle on a job site, our buyback process is designed to take these mats off your hands.

How it works

Free Grading of Used Mats on Buy-backs

When it comes to optimizing the lifecycle of used mats, our buy-back program stands out by offering free grading services. This unique service ensures that each mat is evaluated for its current condition and potential for reuse. By participating in our buy-back initiative, clients can benefit from an environmentally friendly and cost-efficient solution for managing their used mats.

This process not only facilitates the recycling and repurposing of materials but also promotes sustainability and reduces waste. Engaging in our buy-back program with free grading represents a smart choice for businesses looking to maximize their investment while supporting eco-friendly practices.

How Does the Buy Back Program Work?

At the conclusion of your project, Blizzard Mats will appoint a third-party inspector to evaluate the mats and determine a rebate for the client, based on the mats’ grade and quality. This inspection process involves sorting, selecting, and grading the mats.

Inspection & Mat Grading Criteria

Grade A

Wood mats categorized as Grade A are of the highest quality, showing minimal wear and tear. These mats exhibit tight timbers, with no exposed or broken rods, and their ends remain intact. They are essentially like new, having been used only 1-2 times.

Grade A mats are highly durable and can be recycled or used 2-4 more times, offering exceptional value for both the seller and the buyer. Additionally, their lifespan extends to 2-3 more years, significantly enhancing their long-term utility and cost-effectiveness.

Grade B

Grade B wood mats show signs of moderate wear, such as slightly loose timbers, some exposed bolts, and minor breakage on the ends. Despite these signs of use, the mats maintain a good level of integrity and safety for use.

These mats, having been used 3-4 times, still hold the potential for use and recycling 1-2 more times, presenting a cost-effective option for projects operating on a tighter budget or with less stringent demands. Moreover, they can remain functional for an additional 6 months to 1.5 years, extending their utility and economic value further.

Grade C

Wood mats in Grade C condition have significant wear, including broken ends, loose timbers, and broken rods. While these mats may not be suitable for all types of projects, they can serve as fillers or for less critical applications.

Given their condition, Grade C mats are primarily valued for the savings they offer in disposal costs. They represent an opportunity to avoid the expense and environmental impact of disposing of the mats in landfills. Furthermore, we can dispose of, grind, chip, burn, or get rid of the unusable Grade C mats at a negotiated cost, enhancing their reuse potential and further mitigating environmental harm.

Through our wood mat grading criteria, Blizzard Mats buyback program ensures that every client has the opportunity to benefit from selling back their used mats, regardless of their condition. This approach not only supports financial returns and cost.
